About me

I am a Professor of Geography and Meteorology at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, U.S.A. I consider myself both a meteorologist and geographer as I have degrees in both fields and am active in both disciplines.

My research examines how society deals with hazardous winter weather, and I have a book coming out soon on this. I teach a range of classes, including a storm chasing class. I've taken more than 125 students storm chasing and we've seen everything from benign mammatus clouds to deadly tornadoes.
